The Aerospace Sales and Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of Aerospace Sales and Marketing and join the core management team. Currently the Sales team consists of four sales coordinators, the VP's of Aerospace and Medical business respectively. As Aerospace continues to develop, additional leadership and support is needed to sustain the growth path intended for the sector.
- The key responsibility of this position is to support and develop the existing customers to leverage existing work into new opportunities in Aerospace and Defense.
These responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Gain a complete understanding of our clients custom designed carbon composite aerospace products are used by each of the current customers in order to identify and capitalize on any gaps or future uses.
- Develop, write and present, if necessary, proposals to key customers.
- Interface directly with the customers alone or in conjunction with other Managers and Engineers. Travel and meet with customers. Nurture relationships.
- Determine pricing for aerospace products quoted to outside sources with management support.
- Completes competitive analysis and market research. Determination of who are the customers, how do they use the products? What do they need in terms of product enhancements, what new applications should company be developing. |

The successful candidate will be ready to embark on a challenging new assignment. The position is new due to the agressive growth plans for the aerospace side of our clients current business. Success in the role could lead to leadership and business development opportunities. Our client will consider promotion into the role from the engineering ranks assuming interest and enthusiasm for this particular career path are present. Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- 4 year technical degree preferred, relevant experience considered
- Must have experience in the sales and marketing of products manufactured for the aerospace industry or strong customer interaction from a project engineering role.
- Composites experience essential
- Conceptual design experience and technical background necessary
- Existing customer relationships highly regarded. |
