Job Description  

·         Responsible for the oversight, planning, and execution of the human resource department.  

·         Establish credible, trust-based and constructive relationships with all levels of management, as well as local and international union officials

 

·         Manage 3 HR managers and administrative staff in a $550 million division with 1600 employees at two sites

 

·         Be a driven leader in change management

 

·         Enhance and execute Glatfelter's Performance Management System

 

·         Be an active leader in efficiency, cost reductions and lean initiatives

 

·         Provide seasoned leadership to ensure division is staffed and structured in a cost effective and productive manner.

 

·         Develop, communicate and implement key HR initiatives in support of the division's ongoing efforts to improve business and operational performance.

 

·         Execute corporate based human resources initiatives supporting company and division goals.

 

Education
Requirements
 

·         A Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required; MS or MBA preferred.  Advanced certifications in SPHR desirable

 

·         Minimum of 15+ years of relevant and progressive human resources experience in manufacturing environments; preferably process industry experience.

 

·         Interest-Based bargaining (or similar collaborative approach) experience in a manufacturing environment is required

 

·         Business acumen: Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, EBITA, etc.

 

·         Knowledge of how operations, engineering, supply chain, sales & marketing, etc. interrelate into a cohesive entity

 

·         Demonstrated "presence" as a change agent with a track record of evolving organizations into a highly productive workforce

 

·         Demonstrated success as a top recruiter of talent

 

·         Demonstrated record of leadership and success in leading and facilitating measurable improvements in manufacturing performance using Lean or similar collaborative process re-engineering methods.
