Job Description   ·         Provide leadership, coordinate, and leverage present manufacturing sites, infrastructure and personnel to increase production output while maximizing return on assets. Primary emphasis is on driving employee climate in such a manner as to be consistent with the company principles and culture objectives of teamwork and empowerment.

·         Develop and implement a global manufacturing strategy including increasing overall capacity, developing manufacturing core competences, CAP-EX  investment strategies, facility rationalization strategies and transition to "best cost" centers and implementation of  "centers of excellence" manufacturing sites as well to a "plan and execute" production culture

·         Implement actions to improve overall factory throughput with emphasis on material flow and factory flexibility, reduced lead-times and improved manufacturing velocity.

·         Create a customer driven manufacturing organization with on time- every time response to customer expectations enabling Flow Technologies to establish "speed and flexibility" as a competitive market advantage. 

·         Focus the manufacturing organization on key business metrics, improvement priorities, and actions to enhance EH&S, quality, product delivery and profitability. 

·         Establish and implement continuous improvement activities such as Lean and/or Continuous Flow, in all areas of responsibility to improve operating performance.
Requirements Qualifications  

·         B.S. in Engineering, Operations Management, Materials Management, or technical required.  MBA, Executive MBA, or similar advanced degree a plus.

·         10 - 15 years of progressively responsible experience leading a world class global organization while improving a complex engineered to order durable goods manufacturing operation.

·         Must be familiar with and articulate the concepts of Lean Mfg., Six Sigma improvement, Goal Deployment Process.

·         Multi - location responsibility with global experience in operations that produce at least $500M to $1B in a highly engineered, medium volume, mixed manufacturing environment is required.

·         Experience working in unionized environments highly preferred.

·         Materials Management, Operations Management or Manufacturing Management, Planning, Scheduling skills required.  Must know how to drive facility optimization including front-end (order entry / order management) process improvements.

·         Successful history of operating independently, and demonstrating a strong leadership presence that sets an example to all employees.  Prior experience at the General Manager level is a plus. 

·         Established ability to move diplomatically among different cultures with the awareness and sensitivity required.  They must be a Flow - Technologies ambassador.
